Mission Statement

"If you're here, you're a part of this thing."

The Never Alone Recovery Community is an independent community focused on connecting people to recovery resources.

History

This community was previously known through an earlier online chat space.

While we respect recovery traditions that have shaped many online spaces, we are not a continuation of NA or any affiliated service.

We maintain our own purpose while respecting the purpose of meetings

We recognize that many people who visit us are taking an important first step toward recovery. Whether they stay here, attend a meeting, or choose another recovery resource, we want that first experience to encourage them to continue seeking support.

Our community includes people from a variety of recovery fellowships, and we recognize that no single path works for everyone.

How We Connect Today

When nachatroom.org began in the early 2000s, online recovery meetings were limited.

As online meetings have expanded, our focus is helping people find active Zoom meetings across the recovery community. The chatroom also remains available for sharing information and real-time connection.

We maintain an online meeting information page listing active NA and/or other 12-step meetings, with direct Zoom and phone access for those seeking immediate entry without chat or login.

Visitors generally either go directly to meeting access or enter chat to connect with others in real time. Both paths serve the same goal.

Cooperative Structure

The Never Alone Recovery Community is being developed as a member-owned cooperative. The legal structure is still evolving, but we welcome input and suggestions from the community.

We are not governed by the Seventh Tradition, though we respect the principle of self-support. As we are a brand new group, we have decided not to accept any outside contributions that may sway or influence the direction of our group and/or meetings. At this time, our operating costs are currently covered through donated infrastructure.
